 This job aid will explain how to download the Citrix receiver to access USF Health's network remotely. The steps for both PC and MAC operating systems are the same, but the images displayed are for Windows operating systems. Here are the requirements to run Citrix Reciever 4.0:

Operating System:

The following list of requirements specifies edition or service pack only where support is limited.

*Windows 8, 32-bit and 64-bit editions (including Embedded Edition) Windows 7, 32-bit and 64-bit editions (including Embedded Edition). *Windows XP Professional SP3, 32-bit edition, and Windows XP Professional SP2, 64-bit edition (including Embedded Edition). *Windows Vista, 32-bit and 64-bit editions, *Windows Thin PC *Windows Server 2012, 64-bit edition, *Windows Server 2008 R2, 64-bit edition (not supported by XenDesktop connections). *Windows Server 2008 32-bit and 64-bit editions (not supported by XenDesktop connections) *Windows Server 2003, 32-bit and 64-bit editions (not supported by XenDesktop connections).

Browser:

*Internet Explorer

Connections to Receiver for Web or to Web Interface support the 32-bit mode of Internet Explorer. For the Internet Explorer versions supported, refer to StoreFront system requirements and Web Interface system

requirements.

*Mozilla Firefox 18.x (minimum supported version)

*Google Chrome 21 or 20 (requires StoreFront)

Download Citrix Receiver

  1. Access the following address in your Internet browser: http://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver.html.

  2. Click the Detect my device and install Receiver option.
    The Citrix Receiver window opens.See Figure 1 below.

    If you are not using Windows click the VIEW OTHER DEVICES to see all available options for Desktops, Smart phones and Tablets.

  4. Click Download Receiver for Windows.
    The Citrix License Agreement window opens.

  5. Place a Check in the agreement box and click the Continue button.. See Figure 2 below.

  6. Click Run to install the Receiver.See Figure 3 below.

  7. Select the Run again to bypass the Internet Explorer Security Warning
    Installation is complete. The Citirx Receiver is downloaded.
  8. Close the Browser window.

Access Citrix

 

The following steps will guide you to access Citrix after you have downloaded and installed the application:

  1. Enter the following address in your internet browser:
    http://citrix.health.usf.edu
    .
    The Citrix Login screen will open.
  2. Enter your:
    USF Health (HSCNet) User name
    USF Health Password
  3. Click Log On. See Figure 4 below.

    The USF Health Citrix home page with all available applications will open.

If the Citrix File Security box opens (See  Figure 5 below) set the Citrix settings to the following:

    1. Check Full Access in the What access do you want to grant? section.
    2. Check Never ask me again in the Do you want to be asked again? section.
    3. Click OK.

If a firewall window opens, select Always Trust.
