Information Session Schedule

What is an Information Session?  A one hour information session about our nursing programs prior to the application process.

Who should attend?  All prospective students.  


Please Note the Following:

 

 HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SESSION
Veteran to BS (VCARE)

Baccalaureate

RN-BSN

Master's Degree

Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA)

> Doctorate of Nursing Practice

> PhD Program in Nursing Science

Have Medic or Corpsmen Training - Service Members/Veterans

Don't have a Bachelors Degree

OR

Have a BA or BS Degree

Have an ASN Degree

Have a BSN, BA or BS Degree

If you are a current military service member or veteran interested in receiving your bachelor's degree in nursing, please attend the Veteran to BS (VCARE) information session.  This session covers information specific to the Veteran to BS program (aka VCARE) for service members and veterans with medical training experience as medics or corpsmen.

If you are interested in receiving a bachelor’s degree in nursing and you meet the following criteria:

  • don't have a Bachelors degree (UD)
  • have a bachelor’s degree in another field (SD)
  • not a nurse, medic or corpsman

Please attend the information session for the Baccalaureate Programs. This session covers information on the First Time in College, Upper Division (UD), and Second Degree (SD)/ Accelerated programs.

If you currently hold a RN license (AS degree) only and are interested in receiving a bachelor’s degree in nursing, please attend the RN Information Session. Information on the RN to BS program will be covered in these sessions.If you are interested in receiving your master’s degree in nursing and currently have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or another field, please attend the information session titled Graduate Programs Information Session. This session covers information on all Master’s programs except Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA).If you are interested in information about our Nurse Anesthesia Concentration (aka CRNA), please attend the CRNA Information Session. This session is dedicated to CRNA admission and program information.

If you are interested in receiving a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) or a Doctorate of Philosophy in Nursing Science (PhD) and currently have your Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in nursing, please attend the Graduate Programs Information Session. During the session we will review admission requirements, application procedures, and program information. There will also be a Q & A session afterwards for more specific questions.

 Graduate Programs Information Session

For students who are already nurses, have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing (or another field), and are interested in receiving a Master of Science in Nursing (MS), Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) or a Doctorate of Philosophy in Nursing Science (PhD).

Our previously offered RN-MS bridge program, for students with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, is currently on hold.

 CRNA Information Session

For students who have a bachelor’s degree in nursing and are interested in the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist program.

 PRIOR TO ARRIVING (Important Information)
Time Allotment:Allow 20-30 minutes to find a parking space and walk to the College of Nursing building.
Parking Pass Required:You must obtain a Visitor/Daily Permit to park. The Parking Services website has a variety of options available, click here to purchase online and see other available options.
Where To Park:Park in any visitor parking lot close to the College of Nursing building.  There is a Self-Pay hourly parking lot adjacent to parking Lot 33, see the section highlighted in yellow and marked by a purple asterisk on the USF Visitor Map.
MDN Building Location:Click here for maps and directions to the College Of Nursing. 
Finding The Room Location:Look for the posted arrow signs to the room location or see the touch screen kiosks located at two of our main entrances. See also our building maps for the first floor and second floor to assist you to find the room location.
Arrive On Time:Sessions do not require an appointment, but do begin promptly at the posted time.
